Chamber Honors 2009 Success at Annual Awards Banquet

 

The Ascension Chamber of Commerce honored their 2009 Individual, Small Business and Medium/Large Business of the Year at its Annual Awards Banquet held Thursday, March 11, 2010.  Attendees began their evening viewing the beautiful scenery at the Houmas House Plantation grounds and gardens, followed by networking with fellow Chamber members during social hour.  

 

The Chamber then celebrated the dedication and commitment of their 2009 award nominees as Chairman of the Board, Glenda Shaheen, described their Chamber and Community involvement.  2009 Individual of the Year nominees were Christine Caluag, Harry & David, Bridget Hanna, Ascension Parish Clerk of Court’s Office, Meghann Hebert, EATEL and Kamal Zaher, Kamal’s Kafe.  2009 Small Business of the Year nominees were Ascension Magazine, nStrumental Designs, Raising Cane’s, Rock Ruiz Insurance & Retirement Services, LLC, and South Louisiana Business Bank.  2009 Medium/Large Business of the Year nominees were Cabela’s, Cox Communications, InfiniEdge Software and LeBlanc Nissan. 

 

The Chamber is proud to announce Bridget Hanna as the 2009 Individual of the Year, Rock Ruiz Insurance & Retirement Services, LLC as the 2009 Small Business of the Year and Cox Communications as the 2009 Medium/Large Business of the Year.

 

The night culminated with a raffle drawing for a 32” Sylvania LCD HDTV won by Kirk Boudreaux, City of Gonzales Councilman, a $100 gift certificate to Latil’s Landing won by Larrine Bell, St. Elizabeth Physicians, and a baseball signed by LSU Baseball coach Paul Mainieri, won by Aubert Waguespack, Waguespack & Associates Insurance.
